The Melbourne Insight Series has moved to Saturday 20 June 2026 to include an important policy discussion with Ms Georgie Crozier MP, Victorian Shadow Minister for Health.

Ms Crozier will address the topic “What Role Does Private O&G Have in Victoria’s Healthcare Future?” This is a timely and highly relevant discussion for specialist O&Gs, particularly as pressures on access, affordability and system capacity continue to shape both public and private women’s healthcare.

This session puts private specialist care directly in the broader conversation about Victoria’s health system. Private O&G is not separate from system capacity. It plays an important role in patient choice, maternity access, gynaecological care, workforce sustainability and the balance between the public and private sectors.

During the Brisbane and Sydney Insight Series events, attendees have engaged strongly with the issues now shaping specialist practice, including rising scrutiny of specialist fees, MBS compliance, private maternity affordability and the sustainability of private practice.

The Melbourne event will continue that practical focus while also giving specialists an opportunity to hear how private O&G may be viewed within future health policy settings in Victoria.

The event will be held on Saturday 20 June 2026 at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel.

The program will include clinical and policy sessions during the afternoon, followed by the option to stay on for a relaxed dinner with colleagues.

For Victorian O&Gs, this is a key opportunity to be part of the conversation about where private specialist women’s healthcare fits in the future of healthcare delivery.
